The Science: Traditional Finnish saunas typically run 10-30% humidity. Too dry feels harsh on breathing; too humid makes it feel uncomfortably hot at lower temperatures. The hygrometer shows you where you are so you can adjust water-on-rocks accordingly.

Installation: Mount on the wall away from direct heater heat (3+ feet) and away from the door. About 3-5 feet from floor height works well. If you're using both thermometer and hygrometer, mount them side-by-side for at-a-glance monitoring.

What You Learn: With both temp and humidity data, you understand your sauna's behavior. Is it stuffy? You need more ventilation. Harsh on breathing? Maybe increase humidity slightly.
